The Northern Territory Government is a major employer across the NT, offers stable employment, generous allowances (better I am told than some of the bigger states) and a high number of full time roles. Many NT Government jobs come with regional bonuses, relocation incentives, housing assistance, salary packaging, and remote community allowances that make them extremely competitive for job seekers willing to live and work outside major cities.
The best place to start your search is the NT Government Jobs portal. The only problem is like some of the other sties, several major NT agencies, particularly Health, Education, and Emergency Services still operate their own dedicated job boards or post specialist intakes separately. If you only check the main portal, you will miss many opportunities.

Scope: Main recruitment portal for the Northern Territory Public Sector (NTPS).
Limitations of note:
- Does not always include health service roles.
- For Police, health, and education jobs you really need to keep an eye on local agency sites.
- Smaller Territory organisations sometimes have their own sites and my not advertise on jobs NT.

1. Northern Territory Health – NT Health Careers

This is one of the largest employers in the NT.

So thats the list of NT government job sites, the NT does have fewer government departments or agencies than some of the bigger states but does off more incentives in the way of housing, employment pathways and remote area allowances (there are some tax advantages here too).
