NSW Council Jobs
Looking for NSW council is a great option, they are locally focused on supporting locals and offer a career that can last a lifetime. In fact council roles are often overlooked even though they provide both stable, well paid work and sometimes a 35 hour working week.
There are 128 councils in NSW, 30 in the Sydney metro and 98 regional and rural. Plenty of opportunities and a ideal employer for those that live outside of Sydney. They cover a large rang of positions as well, anything from roads and infrastructure, waste and environmental management, community services, planning and development and IT and administrative roles.
Like their State and Federal counterparts they don’t advertise all their positions outside of their own websites so keep checking your local council website or better yet if they offer a mailing list (some are better then others) join it. Tamworth regional council for instance offers a job alerts service where you can filter on positions you are interested in.
